Overview : A retail development on the shore of Yancheng lake near Suzhou. Designed by a US architectural firm with no China presence, we co-ordinated a site team to report to the project manager and the US architects, monitoring site quality and providing design solutions on site in order to maintain expected levels of construction quality.
Design: The design incorporated around 130 individual buildings with an on-site team monitoring and providing support on one initial building as a test for site wide quality. This quickly expanded to monitoring the whole site and involved a team reporting daily and attending regular site meetings to help coordination.
