Overview : A town house development as part of the Eco House development on the former site of the library in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire.
Design: The design for the town houses was heavily directed by the sites location at the centre of the village and within a tightly controlled conservation area.. Use of local materials, and the appearance of the townhouses was taken from historic photographs of the site, with each indivisual town house carefully detailed to reduce the mass and scale of the development whilst addressing the street frontage. Each of the 3 storey town houses was built to CSH 3 and provided a contemporary 3 bedroom home.
Role: part concept, client liaison, Detailed Design for tender and handover to construction team.
