Lakeside Resort, Qingpu

Overview : A 350 Bed Resort Scheme for a large Resort developer in Qingpu, on the outskirts of Shanghai. The design incorporated Deluxe, Superior and Suite rooms, along with all ancillary accommodation such as restaurants, bars, sports and leisure facilities, including a pitch and putt golf course, tennis courts and horse-riding. . Design: The resort, on the shores of Dianshan Lake, was designed in the Suzhou water town style with a main entrance axis overlooking the lake and accommodation accessed via a waterside street, planned around three themed courtyards. The masterplan was tailored around the existing lake and yacht club, both utilizing and retaining where possible the natural landscape, flora and fauna. Role: Lead Small team and coordinated with the Managing Director to deliver the concept and part schematic design
