Fuzhou TOD Masterplan
Overview: The competition design was centered around linking 5 outlying sites to a central site sitting over the current metro station and in doing so creating a new urban hub. The outlying sites contained a mixture of heritage, residential, cultural and public functions. Design: Based on the idea of the Banyan tree, the design imagined a central circular walkway with walkways reaching out to each of the outlying sites to create an interconnected, multi layered urban network, focused on connecting back to the central metro station. A mixture of commercial, heritage, residential and cultural functions all acting together as one. The central walkway was then developed further as the Banyan Bowl - a central public space acting as a focal point for the scheme and bringing an iconic landmark to this area of Fuzhou Scope: Master-planning, concept design Role: Design Lead
