Overview : A CSH (Code for Sustainable Homes) Level 4 mews housing development in Northamptonshire UK.
Design: The design for the mews houses was based around efficiently achieving CSH 4, which required good levels of air-tightness and thermal insulation whilst maintaining a contemporary design aesthetic. Materials used included SIP panels for the superstructure, along with a standing seam zinc roof due to the planning restricted roof gradient. In addition, Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) , grey water systems and permeable paving were among other technologies employed.
